John Ford Coley to Perform at Fishstock on Sunday, August 14

Fish Creek, Wis. (August 11, 2022) – The seventh concert in the 2022 Fishstock Concert Series will feature John Ford Coley, the musician who leapt to fame as half of the duo England Dan and John Ford Coley — and then became a powerful solo performer — this coming Sunday, August 14.

Concert preomoter Steve Ellmann made the announcement and noted that there are songs you hear in your life that transport you to a certain time period or give you a special feeling. Songs like “I’d Really Love to See You Tonight,” “Love is the Answer,” “Nights Are Forever Without You,” and many more. These songs and numerous others have made John Ford Coley a singing legend, said Ellmann. Today, John is revered as half of the Grammy-nominated duo England Dan and John Ford Coley and has performed with a myriad of famous musicians, written music for movies, and also acted in several movies. Classically trained on piano and an avid guitarist, John loves the craft and enjoys every audience he encounters.

To attend a Fishstock concert, drive down County Hwy F east of Fish Creek and close to the intersection with Maple Grove Rd. you’ll notice a big white barn on the south side of the highway covered with colorful letters dubbing it “Fishstock.” Fishstock concert tickets can be purchased at the door for $20 general admission or $25 reserved seating. For reserved seats, visit Door County Tickets (https://doorcountytickets.com/events/john-ford-coley-8-14-2022).

The 100-year-old Fishstock concert barn is one of Door County’s most unique performance locations. What began in 1985 as a venture in employee housing evolved into the site of Sunday night folk, Americana and alternative music concerts. The Series is a combination of some of the area’s best local musicians and bands with visiting favorites, and there are a total of ten highly energized Sunday evenings of great music and fun.

Fishstock seats 150 people in the venue’s hayloft acoustic area for live intermission acts plus another 300 in the ground-level indoor area and an additional 300 in the outside seating area. Both concert ares feature independent state-of-the-art lighting and sound systems, creating a personal and rustic setting for performers and audiences alike. A digital projection system with a 10 ft. screen relays the stage views to the outdoor seating.
