PASCAGOULA, Mississippi — John Ford Coley, who along with partner Dan Seals forged a string of hits as “England Dan & John Ford Coley” in the 1970s 1980s, will perform in Pascagoula Friday night at the Grand Magnolia Ballroom.
The Grammy-nominated duo were Texas natives and high school classmates who released numerous pop hits during their decade-long run, including “Love Is The Answer”, “Gone Too Far”, “Nights Are Forever”, “We’ll Never Have To Say Goodbye Again”, “Soldier In The Rain”, “Sad To Belong”, “Westward Wind” and their signature hit “I’d Really Love To See You Tonight,” written by Meridian, Miss., native Parker McGee.
The duo’s run ended when Seals left in 1980 to pursue a career in country music. He died in 2009 at the age of 61.
