John Ford Coley headlines benefit in Ormond Beach

The Friends of the Ormond Beach Performing Arts Center will host a fundraising event, Roll Back to the’80s with John Ford Coley, Saturday, Jan. 15, at 399 N. U.S. 1, Ormond Beach.

Opening act Scherezada Morales will perform at 7 p.m., and Mr. Ford Coley will follow immediately.

Mr. Ford Coley is an American singer, classically trained pianist, guitarist, actor and author. He is most famous for his partnership with the late Dan Seals in the musical duo England Dan & John Ford Coley. The duo had Top 40 hits in the ’70s and ’80s with “I’d Really Love To See You Tonight,” “Nights Are Forever Without You,” “Love Is The Answer” and “We’ll Never Have To Say Goodbye Again.”

The Friends of the Ormond Beach Performing Arts Center is a non-profit organization with a mission to assist in raising funds for updating the exterior, lobby and adding an art gallery to enhance the Ormond Beach Performing Arts Center experience and position the PAC as the center of the cultural arts in Ormond Beach.

Lucy Jackman, president of the Friends of the PAC, stated in a news release, “The Friends of the PAC are excited about our first fundraiser and are definitely excited about our project. We hope to make the PAC the cultural arts center of Ormond Beach as the center covers all genres of the arts.”
